Replacing Front Wishbone Arms

Remove Pinch Bolt from Ball Joint (I’ve Already Removed It)

Remove Top Nut from Antiroll Bar Linkage both sides of PT, so you can fold Antiroll Bar out of way. (Again already removed above Wishbone arm)

Remove Bolt from vertical bush (Half way out)

Remove Bolt from Horizontal Rear Bush, you’ll need a big bar, and fingers crossed captive nut stays put.

Tip...soak them all with WD40...you could even apply some heat (Blowtorch) for really stubborn bolts

Worked for me...loosened one removed the other...allowed a bit of movement to get ball joint and vertical bush in place.

I started by inserting rear bush about half way in first, then swivel arm round

Wallap...

Big Bar...

Antiroll Bar pushed down...out of way

If you decide to replace the antiroll bar bushes...be careful removing bolts...only small and easily snap

Drivers Side...extra work...you’ll have to remove engine mount (Pictured above) and the pencil strut (not pictured) which is in the inner wing, bottom of which shares bolt through narrow end of engine mount

I do not tightened up till wheel is back on and PT is stood on floor

All done for another year....joys of the PT....bought the Wishbones Arms from eBay (clickamotorpart)...£70—£80 for a pair...see how long they last....installed 08/11/10
